What We Do
Grants and Community Programs (GCP)
works to improve the quality of life for our community. Staff
identify needs in the community and work to secure resources to meet
those needs, often in collaboration with other City and County
departments and non-profit and for-profit entities.
Resources for funding include
grants and loans from federal, state, city, county, and private
entities. Staff research funding opportunities and write or
package applications for those funds.
GCP is located at 223 W Alder (1
1/2 blocks east of Orange Street). For

Comments on City's Annual Action Plan - The City of
Missoula has developed a
draft Annual Action Plan that is available for public review and
comment. Comments submitted by May 12, 2015 will be included
in the final version. A public hearing on the Plan is
tentatively scheduled before the City Council on Monday,
April 27, 2015 at 7:00 p.m.
Community-Based Services funding opportunity - Missoula County
will be accepting applications from governmental or health and human
service nonprofit organizations. Applications
are due Wednesday, May 6, 2015 by 3:00 p.m. (Go to
Funding Opportunities page for the application.)
Prevention funding opportunity - Missoula County will be
accepting competitive applications from governmental or non-profit
organizations that are currently engaged in substance abuse
prevention work in Missoula County. Applications are due
Wednesday, May 20, 2015 by 3:00 p.m. (Go to
Opportunities page for the application.)

Community Housing Referral
and Information System (cHris) now available. This is a
web-based data collection system for measuring housing insecurity in
West Central Montana. The main purpose of the data system and
the website is to foster data-information solutions to housing
