Missoula County Human Resources Office
The Human Resources Department provides a
broad spectrum of services, support and expertise for Missoula County
departments in the areas of human resource administration and labor
relations. The department
works with elected officials, managers, supervisors, county employees,
county appointed boards and the public.
The scope of responsibilities and the
authority to act vested in the Human Resources Department are delegated
by the Board of County Commissioners. The Human Resources Department
develops, revises and administers human resources policies and
procedures for adoption by the Board of County Commissioners. The
department acts in accordance with and facilitates compliance with
federal, state and local employment and labor relations laws,
regulations and ordinances.
Human Resources participates in the negotiation and administration of
ten collective bargaining agreements with the Chief Operating Officer,
who serves as the county’s designated authorized representative under
39-31-301, MCA.
